B+H Architects held their annual Charity Golf Tournament this past June 5th and raised over $50,000 for The Leacock Foundation.
The tournament was attended by clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, who all participated in raising money for the foundation while enjoying a round of golf amongst friends and colleagues.
During the dinner portion of the event, Leacock Foundation Founder and President Peter Oliver spoke on the Foundation’s mission to give new opportunities to young people in high-needs communities, and thanked B+H and all of the tournament participants and prize donors for their contributions.
The funds raised will be split between two Leacock programs. Located in Toronto, the Lead Through Trails program provides Grade 5 students with outdoor experiential learning focusing on exploration, creativity, teamwork and reflection. The second program, in South Africa, will add to the Get Ahead Project (GAP) School, providing additional educational enrichment to students in the key areas of math and reading.
B+H also thanked all those who were able to attend the golf tournament, along with the tournament’s generous sponsors. This year’s sponsors included Astley Gilbert, The Mitchell Partnership, PCL, Smith + Andersen, Teknion, Flynn, Mumby Insurance and the Gillam Group.
