LEAP into Literacy Summer Day Camps run throughout the month of July for students in Grades 2 to 6 from our TDSB partner schools: Rose Avenue Public School, Wandering Spirits, Woburn Jr. Public School and Derrydown Public School. This program offers an extended learning opportunity for youth and focuses on both academic and experiential literacy. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention which in combination with an active recreational program allows students to experience new things through day trips and guest speakers.
All of the campers attend free of charge. Students are selected by their teachers depending on their level of need and the predicted value that a program of this nature might provide for them. Beyond the academic benefits, our campers return to school in the fall full of confidence and enthusiasm from the accomplishments they have achieved and the friends they have made.
