Saturday Morning Literacy Club

Saturday Morning Literacy Club runs from October to May at our Toronto partner schools (Brookview Middle School, Rose Avenue P.S. and Woburn P.S). The program creates extended learning opportunities by engaging children outside of the classroom and combining academic and experiential learning.

The literacy classes are taught by Ontario certified teachers and the program would not be possible without the excellent volunteers from both the local community and the partner independent schools who help in various capacities.

All programs are offered to families of these three communities free of charge with funding provided by the Leacock Foundation.

Saturday Morning Club Areas of Focus:

Literacy, community engagement, teamwork, peer mentorship, leadership, experiential learning, and creativity.
